Fascias and Soffits

Fascia and Soffit refers to the trim that runs along the lower parameter of the roof. Its main purpose is to box in the lower part of the roof rafters in an aesthetically pleasing way.

The fascia is the board at the front that supports the guttering and holds up the first row of tiles.

The soffit is the flat board at the bottom that bridges the gap from the wall to the fascia.

Bargeboard and Boxends

Bargeboards are the fascia boards that run up the gable end of the building. they cover the end rafters.

Box ends are the joining piece that connects the fascia and soffit to the bargeboards.
